Return Policy

IndiGo retains the right, without causing any harm to Customers or any other person to cancel, reschedule, or delay the start or continuation of a flight, to change the stopping location, to veer off the intended route, or to change the type of aircraft in use. There are instances when events outside of IndiGo’s control cause delays or cancellations of flights. IndiGo retains the power, in such cases, to abruptly cancel or postpone a flight. Events outside of IndiGo’s control can include, but are not limited to, inclement weather; air traffic control; mechanical issues; terrorist acts; natural disasters; force majeure; strikes; riots; wars; hostilities; disruptions; laws, decrees, orders, or requirements from the government; shortages of essential personnel, parts, or supplies; labor unrest, etc. IndiGo does not establish connections with other airlines, nor is it liable for any losses that may arise from customers attempting to establish connections with or from other airlines. Customers are entitled to a complete refund or, if available, a free rebooking onto an alternate IndiGo aircraft in the event of delays exceeding two hours or flight cancellations exceeding one hour. Should an IndiGo aircraft experience a subsequent segment cancellation while the customer is already in transit, the customer will have the option to stay at the transit station and get a partial refund for the portion of the journey that was not completed; return to the place of origin and get a refund, a credit for more IndiGo travel, or the option to rebook onto a different IndiGo aircraft at no extra cost, contingent upon availability. Compensation for flight delays or cancellations shall be handled in accordance with DGCA guidelines as specified in Civil Aviation Requirement, Section-3, Series M, Part IV. Passengers may not be eligible for any compensation if they did not submit valid contact information when booking the ticket.

The following rules will apply in the event that a flight operated under the Connected Segments/Route system is delayed or cancelled:

In the event that the connecting flight is delayed or cancelled at the point of origin, potentially resulting in a missed connection at the point of transit, the passenger will be entitled to a refund, a credit for additional IndiGo travel in the future, or the option to rebook onto an alternate IndiGo flight at no additional cost, contingent upon availability.

When a connecting flight is delayed or cancelled at the point of transit, IndiGo will, at its discretion and depending on seat availability, first give the passenger the option to travel on another airline’s flight or the next one operated by IndiGo. If neither option works out, IndiGo will, at its discretion, also provide the passenger with overnight lodging at the point of transit, ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel, and dinner.

For domestic flights, you have up to three hours before take-off to cancel or receive a refund.

For international flights, you have up to four hours before take-off to cancel or receive a refund.

International Cancellation Fees:
