I enjoyed sharing all my favorite movies so much that I decided to do the same with books, because I LOVE books with all capital letters! The hard part is, of course, choosing favorites because it’s somewhat arbitrary and highly dependent on my mood. These are my favorites at this moment, but if you ask me tomorrow, the list could look very different because my mood shifted, I read a new book or just because. And that is exactly how it should be.
Book Olympics: My Gold Medal Books
After seeing a couple of my friends, Kristen, Jenn and Erin, participate in this very fun Book Olympics, I knew I had to join in too. Now to be quite honest, I didn’t watch the Olympics, which sounds awful and unpatriotic. But I’m not a sports fan, whether it’s the Olympics, professional or little kids running around. Sports, ain’t my thang. But reading is. And I feel very confident that I would be a contender if reading was an Olympic sport.
May Bookshelf: The All Good Month
May was a strange reading month for me. Every book was good but no book was truly exceptional. The kind that makes you race to your computer or phone to sing its praises on Twitter. Every new book, I thought this would be the one … the one I loved this month. But alas, just as my dream to be taller than 5 feet without wearing shoes has never come to pass, neither did my quest to find a book I love this month. The good news? There is always a new month and new books on the horizon.
