Celebrating Intentional Living and Mindful Spending

Hi ya, everyone! It’s me, Max. You can call me Mighty Max, MaxE, The Max Man, Sir Snoops a Lot, Mr Pepper or Chief Mischief Maker. I have lots of nicknames because I am the coolest cat! I am also now the angriest cat. Grumpy cat ain’t got nothing on me because I am so mad right now. I hate Halloween.
This week we celebrate our independence. I wonder if they knew back then that America would become the most powerful country in the world? I also wonder what they would think now. I am and have always been extremely proud to be an American because luck led me here. I was not born here but adopted by American citizens who not only gave me an amazing family and home but also American citizenship. I am forever thankful.
Thanksgiving is just a few days away and I am ready, mostly. My elastic waistband pants are clean and ready to wear. I’ve got yummy food planned for Thursday through Sunday. That’s right — Thanksgiving is a four-day food fest in my home. Glorious, glorious food. And it’s all mine! Cue maniacal laugh.
I’m celebrating a little early and starting my holiday today. This is the one of those pro’s of being your own boss and I’m taking full advantage of it this week. 🙂 In some ways, Memorial Day always feels a bit odd to me since I don’t deal with loss very well. It’s not my nature to always want to remember. But I know the holiday isn’t just about loss; it’s celebrating the lives of those we have lost. And like everyone else, I’ve lost loved ones too.
