I know. I said I was coming back. Gonna blog again and find joy and laughter every day. That was on January 5th. You probably don’t need me to remind you what happened the next day. Beyond the absolute horror and disgust I felt on January 6th during the Capitol Insurrection, I also felt a major “Welp. there goes 2021” energy that took some recovery time.
Continue Reading …May Goals Update and June Goals
Well, well, well, here we are in June already. How time flies when you set goals. Okay, time tends to fly whether or not you have goals but it goes extra fast, I think, when you have goals. This isn’t necessarily scientific fact (you know, like climate change) but just Tanya thoughts, which have been known to be wrong. And occasionally crazy.
I rarely share my goals on the blog because too often it ends up with me never mentioning them again … meaning I forgot to do them or worse – I thought about setting some goals but didn’t. Gulp. But I decided to mix things up this month because I need to make some changes in my life. Thus, we have public goals, but not crazy goals or a laundry list of goals. Just two goals. Doable, I think. Because I planned to blend my goals with my focus word, I took plenty of time figuring it out.
7 Ways I’m Choosing to Live My Best Life
I never watched The Oprah Show, but I LOVE her magazine. One thing she often talks about is living your best life. Your best life. It sounds amazing, right? My best life would be a little glamorous with elegant dinner parties, walks on the beach, snuggling with Max while I read and a closet full of stylish clothes in a size that feels good. The dream is so alluring but always seems out of reach, especially when I play the comparison game. I’ve spent too much time comparing my life to others or worrying about what they think versus creating the life I want for myself. One of my resolutions this year is to live my best life on my terms.
